A Pre-Thanksgiving Thankful Wish

It's coming to the time of year where everyone declares what they're thankful for. So here's what I'm thankful for in no particular order.

1. I'm thankful for my best friend whom I'll see again on Thanksgiving morning.

2. For my husband for taking a few days off to spend at home with the family.

3. For seeing my whole family on Thursday.

Last week, October 31 (yes, Halloween), we celebrated my 30th birthday. Redbeard took the day off work and we were very busy that day. He took us out for breakfast first and went to visit his co-workers to show off Sierra in her costume.

We then traveled across the state to see my best friend. We had lunch together and we spent a few hours with her and her youngest kid. From there it was a short drive to my grandfather's where my 3 aunts and uncle joined us for my birthday and Halloween celebration. They made my favorites for dinner and we took Sierra out trick or treating. She lasted only about 3 or 4 blocks before she started getting tired and chilly. She still doesn't really understand yet and she might have been a little scared - she was reluctant to go up to doors and she can't say trick or treat yet on command. We stayed the night there and traveled back home the next day, stopping at my great aunts for lunch.
